Whirlpool Washer Error Code: F0 E2 or Sd

The washer will run an automatic suds reduction routine, to try to eliminate most of the excess sudsing. Allow the washer to continue to run.

Did you use High Efficiency (HE) detergent?

Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer’s recommended amount of soap can cause excessive suds. The excess suds can cause the washer to run at a reduced spin speed, which will result in very wet loads. It can also increase the cycle time due to an increase in rinses trying to eliminate the suds.

• If you see “Sud” or “Sd” with the Rinse status light on, the washer is in the process of removing suds. Let the cycle continue.
• If you see “Sud” or “Sd” and the Cycle Complete light is on, the washer detected too many suds during the cycle, and your load may not be thoroughly rinsed, or water may not be entirely removed. You may want to select a Rinse/Spin cycle for further rinsing.

Is the bulk dispenser being used?

If your washing machine has a bulk dispenser feature check the following:

• Is the bulk dispenser enabled? If it is, there is no need to add additional detergent to the load. Doing so could cause excessive suds.
• What is the concentration level set to? It is essential to understand detergent concentration, as you need to input this into the machine. If the concentration level is set correctly, it could cause additional suds.
