LG Washer Machine Error Code: CE
The “CE” error code on an LG washer indicates an over-current error, suggesting that the motor is pulling more current than it should during operation. This can be caused by various factors, including a motor issue, wiring problems, or even a problem with the control board.
How to fix the CE Error?
- If a CE error occurs during the washing or spinning phase, the weight of the loaded laundry may exceed the permissible value. Interrupt the program, remove part of the laundry from the drum and try to restart the washing program.
- There may be a malfunction in the electronic controller (control board). Disconnect the LG machine from the network for 10-20 minutes to restart the control module, and then turn it on again.
- Check the Power Supply: Ensure that the power supply voltage is stable and within the recommended range for your LG washer. Voltage fluctuations can sometimes trigger this error.
- Examine Wiring: Inspect the wiring and connections between the control board, motor, and other components for any loose connections or damaged wires. Secure or repair as needed.
- Motor Inspection: If the issue persists, it’s possible that there may be a problem with the washer’s motor. A malfunctioning motor may need to be tested and replaced by a professional technician.
Please exercise caution when working with electrical appliances, and always ensure the washer is unplugged or disconnected from the power source before conducting any troubleshooting or repair procedure
