This occurs when the pressure switch, responsible for monitoring the water level in the appliance, detects that the switch has remained closed for an extended period, signifying a potential overflow situation.   1. Plugged or Kinked Drain Hose: A blocked or twisted drain hose can impede the proper drainage of water from the washer.
  2. Wire Harness Connections: Loose or faulty connections in the wire harness linking the pressure switch, drain pump, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
  3. Drain Pump Issues: Malfunctioning drain pump or accumulation of debris preventing efficient drainage.
  4. Inlet Valve and Pressure Switch Problems: Faulty shut-off or malfunctioning operation of the inlet valve or pressure switch.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Inspect Drain Hose:
    • Check the drain hose for any blockages, twists, or kinks that may be obstructing proper water drainage.
    • Ensure the drain hose is installed correctly and has no damage.
  2. Verify Wire Harness Connections:
    • Examine the wire harness connections to the pressure switch, drain pump, and CCU for any signs of loose or damaged wires.
    • Reconnect or replace any faulty wires as needed.
  3. Check Drain Pump:
    • Inspect the drain pump for debris or foreign objects that may hinder its operation.
    • Clean the drain pump thoroughly.
  4. Evaluate Inlet Valve and Pressure Switch:
    • Ensure the inlet valve and pressure switch are functioning correctly.
    • Verify that the inlet valve shuts off properly and that the pressure switch is responsive.
  5. Replace Failed Components:
    • If any of the components, such as the drain pump, inlet valve, or pressure switch, are found to be faulty, replace them promptly.

If error code F09 occurs, the door will remain locked, and the drain pump will continue to run even if ‘cancel’ is selected. Before proceeding with any troubleshooting, it’s important to turn off the hot and cold water faucets and unplug the unit to ensure safety.
